Concha has a deep look that invades her enormous and sweet greenish eyes. As always, I remember her laughing and listening to anything with great attention and then answering with the most Galician accent that one can imagine and that so many years in Madrid have not managed to alter one bit.
Those over 55 will undoubtedly have known her belts and jewelry brand Acheron, but what she is really known for is being the founder and creative director of Uno de 50 until 2011. Now as creator of CXC, her latest firm dedicated to jewelry design, she offers us several collections that, like all her work, are of brilliant genius.
"CXC pieces have something sculptural... I am constantly told that. But I really get inspired by anything I find on the street. From military pieces to the closures of kitchen appliances or in hardware stores, especially Yes, they are from the town; but what has always stimulated me the most are the markets and flea markets in all the cities in the world that I have known."
"My inclination towards naval themes is undeniable, given that my father was a Navy officer, like almost my entire family, and also my love for horses and everything related to the equestrian world, so these themes are almost always reflected in my collections."
"Of course men can wear jewelry and not just the typical leather ones with a simple clasp. I have a special collection for men, although I have to tell you that many clients choose to wear jewelry from the women's collections with total naturalness."
"Finally, I want to highlight that my company is Spanish and based in Madrid. Everything is manufactured in Spain by hand, with exhaustive quality control and with almost zero incidents."
